While every Junkers employee received one of these healthcare benefit booklets, most of them threw it away when it was replaced with next years' version. This rare 78 year old example from 1938 printed by Trommler-Drick in Dessau is complete.
The famous company Junkers Flugzeug- und Motorenwerke of Dessau manufactured airplanes such as the Ju52, Ju87 Stuka and Ju88 as well as airplane parts and engines for the Nazi German Luftwaffe. During its heyday they employed around 40,000 people.
Offered on this USMBOOKS web page is a 4-¼ x 6 inch, 48 page booklet outlining the (compulsory) health insurance obligations and benefits for Junkers employees in the year 1938.
This rules and regulations covered in this rare Junkers publication are: which employees qualified, different kinds of insurance offered, dues, patient care, maternity benefits, death benefits, claims and claim disputes, etc.
A child doodled on the first and last page, and the blue outside cover is somewhat faded but that does not detract from the fact that it is a rare insight in the workings of one the Nazi Germany's best known companies and largest employers!
This original 1938 health insurance booklet for Junkers employees is
