There were several color photography handbooks in circulation during the Third Reich in Germany but Agfacolor, das farbige Lichtbild is perhaps the best. The color photo content in the Agfa book is superb! The 8 x 10-1/4 inch, 100 page very heavily illustrated hardcover book was written by Eduard von Pagenhardt and published by Verlag Knorr & Hirth in München (Munich), Germany in 1938.
With 64 color photos (mostly full-color plates) and an excellent text, this book does a fine job explaining the subject of color photography. Each photograph has a caption with the name of the photographer, the title of the photo, the exposure of the photo, etc.
Most collectors and historians of the period will recognize that Agfa was one of the daughter companies of the huge conglomerate
IG Farben which operated Auschwitz Concentration Camp.
Rare Third Reich photographic material in very good used condition.
