This is a very rare 4-1/8 x 5-3/4 inch Passierschein für Berufstätige im Fliegerschadensfall or Permit to Travel for a Foreigner Who Had Lost His Original Residence in an Aerial Bombardment. Italian guest worker Diego Fabiani was bombed out of his residence in Gau Franken some time after August 1943 and was issued this pink Nazi identity document with the big blue word AUSLÄNDER (foreigner) and the letter V on it to prove that his basic ID listed an address that no longer existed. According to information typed on the front side, Fabiani worked for the Gefolgschaftbüro in the Kabel- und Metallwerke Neumeyer and would be allowed to live at either the sports grounds on Herrnhüttestrasse or the swimming pool in Marienberg.
Unlike bombing passes for German nationals, the Ausländer version does not provide them with free cash or food from the Nazi Party according to information on the back side. The document is scotch taped across the center. Good condition.
