This heavily illustrated World War II publication covers the important role of men of the Nachrichtentruppe at the front line where they were required to establish and operate military communications at great speed. There are chapters about the organization, structure and equipment of the communication troops, and knowledge required of the men serving in Wehrmacht Nachrichtentruppen.

There are lots of photos of Nachrichtentruppe soldiers in action during combat, establishing and repairing communication lines, in vehicles, operating their equipment in difficult situations, and even a Panzerfunker inside a Nazi tank. Advancement possibilities for Nachrichtentruppe men are explained as well.

Published for the OKH by Deutscher Volksverlag of Munich and printed by NS-Gauverlag in Innsbruck, this Waffenhefte des Heeres is complete and in very good little-used condition, no odor.

This is a very nice used example of the 5-3/4 x 8-inch, 32-page illustrated softcover Weapon Booklet of the Army called Die Nachrichtentruppe (The Combat Communications Troops) published by the Oberkommando des Heeres, probably mid World War II (it is undated).

The introduction by General der Nachrichtentruppe Erich Fellgiebel explains that this publication covers the training, service goals and war duties hoping it will inspire young Germans to join the Nazi Combat Communications Troops. As a historical aside, Fellgiebel was executed in 1944 for his part in the 20 July 1944 plot against Adolf Hitler.
