THE BOOK THE ALLIES WANTED BURNED! A perfect reproduction of the actual 100-page handbook distributed by the Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter Partei (NSDAP or National Socialist German Worker Party) to each new enrollee in the Nazi Party during the early 1940s. The first portion of this book is a letter-perfect 100-page black & white reprint of the original German book including all text, captions and photographs. The final 44 pages contain a very competent American language translation of the entire German text, all quotations and photo captions. Ich Kämpfe / I Fight was the Nazis own testament to the success of their Movement. It explains their political and racial programs, and the obligations of every German whether he or she was a party member or not. Ich Kämpfe was considered so dangerous that nearly all copies of this book were destroyed by Allied De-Nazification Commissions at the end of World War II. The result is that originals are very rare, often commanding prices in excess of $350.00 per copy. BOOK SPECIFICATIONS Black & white softcover, 144 pages, 8-1/2 x 9-1/2 inches (22 x 24 cm) format; weight 15 ounces (425 g) per copy; 34 copies per case. |
