RARE NAZI BERGHOF OBERSALZBERG PHOTO BOOK

This is a very nice little-used 1939 edition of the book Obersalzberg Wanderungen zwischen Gestern und Heute (Obersalzberg - Wanderings between Yesterday and Today) by Florentine Hamm with photos by Inge Mantler as published by the Central Publishing House of the Nazi Party in Munich.
This fine 6-1/2 x 9-1/4 inch, 112 page Nazi book is very specific - it covers in depth and detail the small area on a mountainside above Berchtesgaden, Germany known as the Obersalzberg, first home to Dietrich Eckart and then Adolf Hitler. These two founders of the Nazi Party were quickly followed by others of the Nazi hierarchy; Hermann Göring, Martin Bormann, Albert Speer to name a few.
A lot of space is devoted to the Hitlergebiet on the Obersalzberg and the people who came to visit the Führer. Lots of full-page pictures.
This red linen hardcover 1939 edition of Obersalzberg has gold blocking on the front cover and spine. The German language Third Reich book is in very nice little-used condition with a tight spine and no odor.
This 85 year old book comes with a replica dust jacket, shown right. It is a facsimile from an original in the USMBOOKS archive.
