This is a very good, well-preserved example of a two-sided 15 x 17 inch transportation network map for the city of Nürnberg, published for those who attended Reichsparteitag Großdeutschland in September 1938. The striking cover panel of the Linienplan shown left measures 4-1/2 x 6-1/4 inches.

The original 85+ year old map was carefully laminated by a previous owner. It was in very good condition when it was laminated, with only one pencil note from the tourist who visited the 1938 Reichsparteitag Grossdeutschland (shown left).

Some objects will be a little more yellow on the actual map than they appear in our photos. We lightened some of the pictures for readability.

The reason for a special map like this for Nazi Party Day attendees is that many of those who came to the rally events stayed in hotels far from the Reichsparteitaggelände or Nazi Party Day Grounds. This map made it easy for them to use public transportation in Nuremberg to see the sights, but also helped them locate everything from the SS bivouac to the Hitler Youth Lager, Zeppelinfeld, KdF City, Märzfeld, Luitpold Arena, Kongresshalle, etc.
