This is a beautifully made 34 mm (1.33 inch) silver metal woman's brooch featuring a flowing silver swastika on a rugged background of radiating lines interrupted by eight silver points along the edge. Soldered on the back is an original safety pin back with a brass reinforcement.
While the pin is unmarked, we have seen the same pin and other similar pins in the superb collection of the SS Museum of the SS Schoolhouse at Wewelsburg Castle near Paderborn, Germany. That SS collection includes many pins and brooches produced for the SS by designers and silversmiths from Gahr to Willigut to Wolff.
