This is an unused piece of Third Reich ephemera that was printed especially for survivors of Allied bombing raids. It is a two-sided 4 x 5-1/2 inch Lebenszeichen or Sign of Life card that could be sent to relatives or friends to let them know you survived a Terrorangriff. Only 10 words were allowed in the message section after the date!
These Lebenszeichen were printed with red borders for civilian addressees and the green border variety we offer here has no space for an address, just a Feldpost number. It could be mailed without a stamp to a member of the Wehrmacht.
