The Raid on the "Altmark" by Friedrich Frisch is an English language book published in Berlin in 1940 as part of the Nazi "Britain Unmasked" series.
The book covers the 16-17 February 1940 naval incident in which British forces cornered and boarded the German tanker Altmark which had nearly 300 British POWs onboard who had been picked up from British ships sunk by the German battleship Admiral Graf Spee in the South Atlantic. The incident, widely and expertly covered in-depth on several internet websites, took place in what were at that time, neutral Norwegian waters. This book takes the GERMAN point-of-view of the incident of course, not at all matching the British narrative at the time.
This rare 5-7/8 x 8-1/8 inch, 54-page softcover anti-British Nazi propaganda book was published by Wilhelm Greve in Berlin in 1940.
A rare Third Reich German book with eight glossy pages with photos, in very nice, little-used condition. No offensive odor.
This 1940 Nazi English language book on the 'Altmark Incident' is offered
for sale for $65.00 delivered by Media Mail in the continental USA.
